In Zambia, approximately 8.77 million people lack access to clean drinking water.
Before this initiative, rural communities in Zambia relied heavily on non-renewable biomass—such as firewood, coal, cow dung, and fossil fuels—to boil water for basic purification. This practice, born out of economic necessity and lack of access to clean alternatives, imposed a heavy financial burden on households, contributed to environmental degradation, and increased health risks from indoor air pollution and unsafe water.
The Challenge
Our Solution
We are implementing sustainable water infrastructure—including boreholes, hand pumps, and solar-powered piped systems—to ensure consistent, safe access to clean water. By replacing traditional purification methods that depend on burning biomass, our solution reduces harmful emissions and supports healthier, more climate-resilient communities.
Our Impact
Reaching the Underserved
Our initiative focuses on delivering clean water to underserved rural areas, where the need is greatest and the potential for positive change is most significant.
Improved Health
Access to safe water dramatically reduces the prevalence of waterborne illnesses like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. This foundational health improvement enables families to thrive and builds resilience across entire communities.
Economic Empowerment
With clean water closer to home, women and children spend less time collecting water and more time on education, livelihoods, and community involvement—unlocking new opportunities for growth and development.
Environmental Sustainability
By reducing reliance on firewood for water purification, we help protect local forests and lower carbon emissions. This shift supports both ecological preservation and climate action.
Long-Term Reliability
Our commitment doesn’t end with installation. Regular maintenance and ongoing monitoring ensure the long-term functionality of each system, making clean water a lasting resource for generations to come.

Sustainable Development Goals
Our initiatives support Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being by reducing waterborne diseases through access to safe water. We advance Goal 5: Gender Equality by lessening the time women and girls spend collecting and boiling water. Through sustainable water systems and hygiene training, we promote Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, while reduced firewood use supports Goal 13: Climate Action by lowering emissions and indoor air pollution.
